You’re invited.

Last week I mentioned here that we are hosting a party in honor of EJW, and of course you’re invited!

This celebration is three fold:

1. We want to honor our daughter.  As her parents we want to celebrate what God has done through the life of our firstborn child. That we say yes and amen to His plans and purposes. This calls for a party don’t you think?

2. We want to celebrate with those who have walked this road with us. The list of people that have covered us with unending grace reaches 500+ easily. It is impossible on this side of eternity to articulate in either word or action how deep our gratitude extends for every.single.way. you blessed us. I still cry thinking about it. At this point, the best we can do is get you liquored up. I’m kidding. No, the best we can do is invite you to a space where you can eat, drink, and God willing, be blessed for an afternoon of fellowship!

3. We want to give friends, family, strangers, and silent blog followers a chance to be a part of something big. We want to invite you to help us bring life to the desolate; to bring hope to the hurting. We invite you to be a part of God’s work here on earth; to help us bring clean water to people who don’t have the luxury of having basic needs met. We believe that just as in Isaiah 61:3 states, “to all those who mourn in Israel, he will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of spirit of despair. For the Lord has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for his own glory.” It is our prayer that out of our loss, life will spring forth, that out of the ashes, the beauty will rise.

I am a friend of Jill Walser’s from Wheaton, IL. I have heard about your story from Jill and what faith and courage it must take to go through so much and still have a positive outlook. Celebrating your daughters life by helping others in Uganda is such a beautiful tribute. We will not be able to be there in person to celebrate but we will be definately sending a donation in Emma Jo’s name. God Bless you and your family. Ric & Kelly Simmons
